Jennifer Aniston honoured by GLAAD
There may have been nothing sizzling about Jennifer Aniston's lesbian lip-lock with BFF Courtney Cox in the latter's hit TV show 'Dirt', but Aniston is certainly getting a lot of attention from non-profit organization Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
The former 'Friends' star has been chosen by the organisation as the recipient of their Vanguard Award at this year's Los Angeles GLAAD Media Awards that takes place on Apr. 14.
The award honours a member of the entertainment world who has been significant in promoting gay rights.
Aniston's rep revealed that the actress was 'very honoured' by the award.
"She never expected this. But she's very honoured and very happy about it," the National Ledger quoted her rep, as telling E! Online.
And while a lot of people were left a bit disappointed by the kiss that Cox and Aniston shared on the show's season finale, Dirt's ratings got quite a boost, with an average of 2.4 million viewers tuning in to watch the two women's locking lips, reports the New York Post.
However, while a reported 600,000 additional viewers watched the two women, it still isn't sure whether or not the show will return for a second season.
