Teens Say Man Shot Brother After They Refused Nude Photos

Randy BlueMIAMI, FLORIDA - Miami police are searching for a man who allegedly propositioned two teenage boys and then shot the teens' older brother in a confrontation Tuesday night.
Officials said 22-year-old Mike Fernandez and 23-year-old Sigfredo Garcia are in critical condition at Jackson Memorial hospital.
They were shot multiple times by a man who allegedly wanted to take nude photos of Fernandez's younger brothers.
The teens told police that a man approached them on a city bus Tuesday night and asked if they wanted to pose for nude photos. The teens said no and later told their older brother about the incident.
Fernandez and Garcia went to the bus stop on Northwest 27th Avenue and Flagler Street, found the man and got into a physical fight with him. Police said during the confrontation, the man shot Fernandez and Garcia several times.
"We need to talk this guy," Lt. Bill Schwartz said. "Perhaps he has another side to the story. Maybe it was self-defense -- two against one. We also need to talk to witnesses, on the bus and off the bus, anyone who knows anything about this."
The man is described as Hispanic, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, balding, and has facial hair. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and carrying a black bag with a shoulder strap.
Police said the man might still be armed.
Anyone who sees the man or has information about the case should call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
