Heath Ledger quickly tired of the extensive promotion required for Oscar-winning movie Brokeback Mountain, and was relieved when he no longer had to make appearances.Ledger, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the gay cowboy film, had to endure endless homosexual jokes at various awards ceremonies.
He says: "I don't think I was p**sed off at the jokes as much as the fact that I was there in the first place. It was such an exhausting process. The whole thing.
"The second the Oscars were over, everyone was just so sick of it."
