Anti-Gay Protestors Hold Demonstration At Funeral For Soldier

MonroeKendallville, Indiana soldier, who was killed in Iraq, has been laid to rest, but not without some controversy.
A funeral was held Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne for 19-year old Army Specialist Christopher Monroe, who died last month in a traffic crash in Iraq.
But an hour before his funeral began, 6 members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, led an anti-gay demonstration across from the service.
The protestors follow the message of the church's leader, Reverend Fred Phelps, who says American soldiers are dying in Iraq as God's vengeance for protecting a country that harbors gays.
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church have protested at dozens of soldiers' funerals across the country, including one in Martinsville, Indiana last August.
